I am running for Mayor of Bunn to ensure every voice is heard and every community is represented. Our town deserves leadership that’s accountable, compassionate, and committed to real change from safer neighborhoods and stronger schools to economic growth that benefits everyone.

As a bridge between generations, I carry the wisdom of those before me, the strength of the present, and the vision for those yet to come. To invoke lasting change, we must first be in position to be heard. Electing me as Mayor is not just a vote for progress, it’s a vote for unity, purpose, and a future where every voice matters.

Troy Shaw is a dedicated and forward-thinking leader in Franklin County who is proud to announce her candidacy for Mayor of Bunn, NC. With a strong background in public service, community empowerment, and grassroots engagement, Troy aims to bring fresh energy and smart solutions to local government.

As a previous Commissioner At Large Candidate for Franklin County Board of Commissioners, Troy has consistently advocated for small-town needs, prioritizing infrastructure improvements, public safety, and economic development in rural communities.

Known for her approachable, transparent style, Troy has built partnerships across local businesses, non‑profits, and citizen groups to foster positive change. She believes the best ideas come from those who know best, its residents.

A resident of Franklin County and prominent volunteer in the Bunn community, Troy is deeply committed to expanding the quality of life in Bunn, NC, from parks and schools to roads and downtown vitality.

Troy is a passionate leader and advocate in Franklin County, who currently holds the role of 1st Vice Chair of Franklin County African American Caucus, Congressional District 13 Minority Affairs Chair, and the North Carolina State African American Caucus HBCU Connect Chair.

Troy is stepping forward to run for Mayor of Bunn with a clear mission: to ensure every resident feels heard, valued, and represented. With a commitment to honest leadership and community driven progress, Troy is focused on building a future rooted in unity, opportunity, and purpose.
